Heritage
Runes are the ancient script of the Germanic and Scandinavian peoples. We present them as historical and cultural heritage and reject the use of runic symbols by extremist or hate groups; this page uses only the standard rune forms found in ancient inscriptions. The “blank rune” is a 1980s addition with no basis in the inscriptions, so it is not used here.
