Solar Return Chart Calculator

Every year, around your birthday, the Sun returns to the exact position it held when you were born. A chart cast for that moment, the solar return, describes the twelve months until your next birthday. Western astrologers cast it for the place where you spend your birthday.

About solar returns

The solar return is one of the oldest forecasting techniques in Western astrology. Because the calendar does not match the Sun's cycle exactly, the return can fall the day before or after your birthday. Astrologers read the return chart on its own (its Ascendant, angular planets and houses) and against the birth chart, alongside annual profections and the year's transits. This calculator uses the tropical zodiac and Placidus houses.
